Are you planning to work in Saudi Arabia? If so, you will need to obtain a work visa. To help you navigate the visa application process, we've compiled a list of the necessary documents and procedures you'll need to follow.

Documents Required for Employment Visa

To apply for an employment visa in Saudi Arabia, you will need the following documents:

  • Original passport with a minimum validity of six months at the time of submission.
  • Electronic visa obtained through the online portal ENJAZIT, which must be authorized by licensed agencies such as Boss International OP&HRD/4675/KAR/2022.
  • Original employee agreement attested by the Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of External Affairs.
  • Six passport-sized photos (4×6 cm) with a white background.
  • Medical report from a GCC-approved Medical Centers Association (GAMCA) along with GAMCA slips.
  • Two alternative pages required for endorsing the visa.
  • NOC (no objection certificate) is not necessary for those who have previously exited Saudi Arabia, but they must provide a proof printout of their final exit from the airport (original).
  • Driver’s license for drivers' visas, such as Saik e Khass and Operators.
  • Degree or diploma certificates related to the visa category.
  • Degree or diploma certificates attested by HRD and Ministry of External Affairs, Cultural Attaché, and Saudi Embassy.
  • For senior categories like Engineers, Accountants, System Analysts, Computer Programmers, and all medical staff, Saudi Embassy attestation is required. Original offer letter duly attested by the Chamber of Commerce and MOFA is mandatory for Cultural Attaché’s attestation.

Documents Required for Temporary Work Visa

If you're applying for a temporary work visa, the following documents are required:

  • Original passport.
  • Electronic visa.
  • Original MOU agreement attested by the Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of External Affairs.
  • Original employee agreement attested by the Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of External Affairs.
  • Degree or diploma certificate related to the visa category.
  • Six passport-sized photos (4×6 cm) with a white background.

Types of Business Visit Visas

There are various types of business visit visas that you can apply for, including:

  • Visit visa from the Ministry.
  • Visit visa against an invitation letter.

Residence visa.

  • PP copy of wife/kids.
  • Husband's PP Iqama copy.
  • Marriage certificate attested from Saudi Consulate.
  • Medical certificate from a GCC doctor – children below 12 years old do not require medical certificate. Children up to 12 years old must produce polio vaccination certificate attested by the Saudi consulate.
  • Original passports of the family with ECNR stamp.
  • Eight color photographs each of the family with white background size 6 X 4 cm.

Family Visit Visa

To apply for a family visit visa, you will need the following documents:

  • Original passport.
  • Electronic visa.
  • Passport and Iqama copy of the sponsor.
  • Four passport-sized photos (4x6cm) with a white background of each person.
  • Baby's polio certificate.

Processing Time

The processing time for all the above visas in the Saudi Embassy/Consulate is approximately 4-5 working days after submission (subject to change by Saudi Embassy/Consulate).
